James P. (Pat) Murphy

Pat is a registered Professional Engineer PE KS 11585 with an MS Biological and Agricultural Engineering, and a BS Business Administration,1968-1970.  He was employed at Kansas State University from 1968- 2016. Pat Murphy’s professional accomplishments have improved the design of livestock production facilities and improved watershed water quality. Improvements were researched, developed, and farm tested.  Resulting designs were demonstrated and transferred to livestock producers for beef cattle, swine, and dairy production facilities and related functions (feedlots, corral and handling facilities, feed storage, feed mills, pollution control facilities, livestock buildings, environmental control systems, energy consumption, manure systems-collection, storage, treatment, and land application).
